Social Food Club
Social Food Club is aimed at developing a social food service. It is delivered as a set of practices related to the preparation, distribution and consumption of food, based on shared, collaborative and participatory activities in the milanese Dergano and Bovisa neighbourhoods. The service offering is composed by a social restaurant linked to a food education process – provided by a team of food experts – dedicated to weak communities that can be involved both the back-office and in the restaurant activities. According to a wider framework of social innovation issues, the aim of the project is to set a model (applicable also in other contexts) that combines a specific business idea (social enterprise), the involvement of particular weakest communities previously individuated (NEET, multiethnic communities, adults need to re-entry into Labour, etc) and provides an opportunity for growth to the people involved through vocational training courses.
