Rapid deployable kits as seed for self-recovery
The project aim is to develope innovative rescue solutions to speed up the operations of non-governmental humanitarian organisations from the very first stages of an emergency not only to provide an immediate response to affected populations but also to move rapidly from a situation of emergency and instability to one of normality. The project therefore worked on innovative emergency kit concepts which make emergency rescue mechanisms simpler and more efficient, to be not only rapid (SPEED) but also seeds (SEED) for rebuilding in the countries struck by humanitarian disasters.
